History of USA Manufacturing

From the real world perspective of NPDS Design Services, LLC Founder, with over 40+ Years experience in New Product Development and International Manufacturing, and Marketing.

Begining in 1974, the Founder became very much market, and job opportunity aware, and with learned skill sets, began working designing and developing for market short-run motorosports performance parts, continuing in high-tech precision manufacturing, in aviation and computer device manufacturing, including medical devices, and mass market consumer product manufacturing.

By 1983 no job opportunities were available in the USA for Engineers, New Product Developers, Tool Manufacture Engineers, and Machinist, for manufacturing physical products within the country. Manufacturing left the USA in mass in 1983, and most of our manufacturing talent here in the USA faded in to oblivion still to this day and year 2020.

Post WWII Historical Timeline - Manufacturing in USA:

• 1942-1970 - USA domestic market consists of almost 95% products proudly Made in USA. Democrat Unionized Labor groups continue to expand presence throughout the USA.


• 1970-1974 - Japan see's market opportunity with rising cost of USA made goods sold both in the USA domestic market, and the international markets as well.
  
  During this time, USA made products were becoming rapidily cost prohibitive to manufacture and produce, also to purchase, and fast becoming non-competitive in the marketplace, due to continued expansion of democratic union freebie employee attitudes against their employers, forcing product prices to rise to unreasonable amounts, which opened the opportunity for foreign market invaders, offering drastically lower market product prices, to gain market share.
  
  USA looses market share in electronics, motorcycles, machine tools, and other needed staples, and consumer products.
  
  Made In Japan products become prominent on the store shelves.


• 1974-1978 - Taiwan see's market opportunity with high cost of Japanese made goods sold both in the USA domestic market, and the international markets as well. USA continues to loose market share, companies, factories, jobs, and American's future.

Made In Taiwan products become prominent on the store shelves, over product Made in Japan, and Made in USA.


• 1978-1983 - China see's market opportunity with high cost of Taiwanese made goods sold both in the USA domestic market, and the international markets as well. USA continues to loose market share, companies, factories, jobs, and American's future.

Made In China products become prominent on the store shelves, over product Made in Taiwan, Made in Japan, and Made in USA.


• Manufacturing Left The USA in 1983


• 1983-1988 - Manufacturing in USA, due to erroded market share, is official declared dead, no manufacturing related jobs available. USA continues to loose market share, bankrupting companies, steel mills, factories, destroying jobs, and American's future.


• 1988-1993 - Capitol equipment and machinery used in factories, and manufacturing production environments is sold for pennies on the dollar, and exported to our devasting competitors overseas.
  
  Note the schools also participated in the sell-off. The gutting of America Schools, Engineeers, Factories, and Made in USA. USA continues to loose market share, companies, factories, jobs, and American's future.


• Manufacturing Graveyard Left in the USA by 1994


• 1994-2019 - President Bill Clinton's NAFTA. The Democratic Party's created diaster for Amercan's jobs and future. The final killing-off of manufacturing jobs was instituted by President Clinton, a sell-out to his own country (and grandchildren), he created and passed NAFTA in 1994.


• 1983-2020 - China enslaves their own citizens for cheap labor, unfairly pricing their goods and products, to achieve market share, bankrupt other companies, countries and the competition. Steals and cheats for CCP China Communist Party greed. USA continues to loose market share, companies, factories, jobs, and American's future.

Made in China products become dominant on the store shelves, over product Made in Taiwan, Made in Japan, and Made in USA.


• 2020-Future - China is dead to the world, with the release of the devasting Wuhan Virus (aka COVID-19, China CCP Virus). World ceases to use china as a manufacturer and supplier due to creating a world pandemic. USA is easily poised to take over the world's manufacturing needs. American's future in manufacturing once again becomes bright.
